Share your expertise and help fellow clinicians earn CE credit. Second Street Collective is recognized as a CAMFT-approved continuing education provider (CEPA #1033086) and we can work with you to offer continuing education credits for your live workshop or class. Read on to see how we can collaborate with you!
Are you a therapist with expertise to share?
marriage and family therapists
clinical social workers
professional clinical counselors
educational psychologists
Collaborating with SSC on your course is a good fit if you have some expertise to share, but don’t want to go through the hassle of becoming a CE provider yourself. (It’s a very extensive process!)
*We are not able to provide CEs for classes taught to other types of professionals.
*If you are outside of California, it is up to you to determine whether your state governing board will accept CEs provided by a CEPA provider.
Acceptable Continuing Education courses for marriage and family therapists, clinical social workers, professional clinical counselors, and educational psychologists include, but are not limited to:
All training, education, and coursework by CAMFT-approved continuing education providers must incorporate one or more of the following:
All courses must have a syllabus that contains written educational goals, specific learning objectives and a course evaluation. These details are provided on the application for collaboration.
It is important to be aware that self-improvement courses, courses designed for non-practitioners, and courses created exclusively for the benefit of psychotherapists’ and/or psychotherapists’ businesses are not acceptable courses for CE credit.
The number of attendees is up to the instructor, however, if you are renting space at SSC, the maximum number of attendees in person is 24. This number is also contingent on how the room is set up. Please inquire for more information.
Submit application via a secure Google form and pay $50 Application fee.
Your application will be reviewed and we will get back to you within 3 weeks.
If approved, we will send you a Collaboration Agreement for you to sign and a link to pay the $150 Administrative fee. If, for some reason, we cannot approve your application, we will send you an email.
Refine the details of your course. Work with us on the logistics to ensure your course is meeting all the requirements for CEs.
Teach your course! Drop that knowledge. Don’t forget to take attendance!
Distribute evaluations. Only participants who complete an evaluation and who have paid their CE fee will be eligible for a CE certificate.
CE certificates will be emailed to participants within 2 weeks after completed evaluation has been received by SSC.
Courses that provide CEs for the participants are often more sought out and well-attended than those that don’t. The beauty of collaborating with Second Street Collective is that we will handle all of the administrative tasks associated with providing CEs, leaving you to develop your course content, making it easier to share your expertise with your colleagues. While SSC charges a small administrative fee to the course instructor for the collaboration, as well as a fee directly to the participant for the CE certificate, all the income you receive from course registrations is yours.
*However, if you would like SSC to post about your course on our Instagram, we’d be happy to oblige. Just tag us as a collaborator!
Courses can be live and virtual or live and in-person. The platform used is up to the instructor. The instructor is responsible for taking attendance and making sure that attendees have completed the entire course.
Participants must submit a completed course evaluation and pay the fee, $5 per CE credit (i.e., $5 × 3 CEs = $15.) See here for more info.
Second Street Collective will email participants directly with their CE certificate within 2 weeks after they have submitted a completed course evaluation and paid the $5 fee per CE credit.
